J.D. Power Day 2018

On Monday, March 5th, 2018, representatives from J.D. Power and Associates will be on campus for the fourth annual J.D. Power Day. They will visit classes across campus, meet with iLabs student and faculty, and host an open event for all UM-Dearborn students.

J.D. Power Day is part of an ongoing partnership between J.D. Power and UM-Dearborn. For several years, J.D. Power has provided mentors, who work with iLabs students on market research projects. Nick Carulli, Director of Syndicated Deliverables and Production at J.D. Power, a 2007 UM-Dearborn alumnus, and former iLabs researcher has lead the engagement with iLabs. Moreover, J.D. Power has also provided support for two scholarships for UM-Dearborn students who have participated in iLabs.

In addition to providing scholarship opportunities and mentoring iLabs students, J.D. Power has also invited several students to visit its office for job shadowing opportunities. This interactive experience gave students the opportunity to learn from professionals in various departments of the organization, network with leaders, and gain a deeper understanding of the company and its culture.

On March 5th, in addition to class visits, the J.D. Power team will also be hosting an open event, giving students from all majors and backgrounds the opportunity to network with the representatives and ask questions about their organization, the market research industry, and various other topics. “These are the types of activities that iLabs and UM-Dearborn are very proud of,” said Tim Davis, Director of iLabs. ”They connect our students to experiences and professionals at companies like J.D. Power.” More details on the timing and location of this event to come in the near future.
